My Eldest Son

I have to say, I am so proud of Cameron!  He will turn 5 years old in just a couple weeks and he has handled the transition to big brother so well.  Having a toddler plopped in your house is not an easy thing for anyone!  Being a 5 year old with a new baby that doesn’t move is hard enough…. but our new baby RUNS!  Our new baby bites (yup he got Cameron’s toe the other day)!  Our new baby sucks on the toys!  Our new baby eats Cameron’s snacks!  Our new baby rips his diaper off in the playpen and pees on his pillow (true story)!  Our new baby pull hair!  Our little guy is VERY active!  Lots of energy in this house and we’ve done a pretty good job at handling it.  I think all of us are doing well considering!

Yes, we’ve had a few hairy moments here and there…. but really, I am so proud of the big boy Cameron is becoming and the strong little boy Rylan is!  Both have done so well that I could not be prouder of them!

I thought it would be funny to share a few Cameron comments with you all.  Sometimes he just surprises me with what comes out of his mouth!  I always get a good laugh at him!

#1 After coming back and talking with Cameron about Lucy (our dog), he says to me…. you know what Grandma Truck is going to name her next dog?  I said, what?  He says - DAMN DOG!  Thanks mom…  Could this have something to do with the fact that you had to watch our dog for a week while we were gone?

#2  Yesterday Cameron asked to sleep overnight at his Grandma Farm’s (John’s moms).  I said why do you want to sleep over there…. he said, Mom I’m really tired and there I can sleep like a log!

#3  Rylan is running through the house with his finger down the back of his diaper (a little habbit we noticed he has)…. and Cameron screams “Mom, Rylan’s digging in his butt crap again”!  Don’t ask me why, but Cameron has always called a butt crack, a butt crap!  Its SO funny!

#4  Driving down the highway to pick up our taxes yesterday Cameron starts whimpering in the back seat and leaning way to one side of the car saying GROSS, YUCK, OHHHHH MOM!  I tipped my mirror and said, whats wrong?  He said Rylan just picked his nose and ate it!  My reply…. now you know why I tell you not to do the same thing he just did! 

Again, another ride in the car and Rylan started getting fussy.  John and I asked Cameron to do something funny to make him laugh (like he did the night we brought Rylan home).  Cameron (in a not so great mood) says why should I, he was your idea!   Geez, I guess he was right ; )

    If nothing else your son tells it like it is. Yes, my next dog will be named DamnDog…….that’s what I end up calling them anyways so why give them a name they will not be called?!!!! Cameron also informed me that he wants a “Polar Express” cake for his party!!!! Better start looking Mom!!!! Every mother should have a diary to write down what their kids say and do , also to put goofy stuff dad’s do too! I wish I had. Have a good one everyone!

    This stuff was so funny! Sounds like Cameron is doing great! What a sweetie, where does he come up with some of that stuff? I am so glad to hear Rylan is doing well too. Sounds like you have two very busy happy boys bouncing around your house. Jen
